ok…welll im taking lessons, by a DVD and its so confusing for me.
like when they show me something, its like i totally dont remember ANYTHING. i have terrible memory. my main issue is i dont know where to place my fingers? and stuff….help?please?

Okay, the TAB at the bottom is actually a pic of the guitar strings. The number shows which fret (starting at the end with the tuning keys) and the number is actually on the string you press and hold down-so a three on the second line would mean to hold the second string at the third fret. If there is a number below the TAB lines is tells you which finger to use to hold the string.
