like i mean i just got this. I dont know the cords tabs or anything so please help me. and i want to lean how to play our song by taylor swift but i know its going to be hard so any help on little songs so i can get use to the cords and things would be nice!
if you just got the guitar….you are a long ways away from playing a song. you have to teach yourself how to hold the guitar…how to actually play a chord and how to make that one chord sound good…and then move on.

theres a chord guide i use if i need to look something up..but again if you've never played before that probably means nothing to you. but the little dots represent where your fingers go..where you press down. the horizontal lines are frets…the vertical lines are strings. G was probably the first chord i learned so try that. and then figure out a struming pattern (this is your own, personal preference…see what pattern feels good to you…look at youtube videos to get ideas)
play some chords and practice until they sound good. make sure your fingers are only touching the strings they should be. your fingers will HURT….for me they did. and you need to play until you get calluses and your fingers tips might peel. it's not that hard once you get the grasp of it….but i found reading music pretty difficult so now i read tab when i want to play notes instead of chords. but stick with chords for now. good luck!
