i have trouble headbanging and thrashing and jumping while playing guitar. i always lose track of what im playing and make tons of mistakes. how can i stop screwing up.
You have to know the piece well enough that you don’t have to think about it. When you’re away from the guitar, visualize your fingers on the fret board playing the solo. If you can’t do this, you’re not prepared.
When jumping around do not lose contact with the band!
You have to keep an ear on the other musicians..especially the drummer and bass player if you’re going nuts. You’re losing track because you are too caught up in the moment. Force yourself to concentrate on the drummer/bass player, and you will never lose your place.
