My friends wants to know how long it takes to get really good on the guitar. He has this DVD called Learn and Master the Guitar. It's this DVD which is supposed to work faster than any other guitar lesson. But he wants to know exactly how long it takes to play good songs like Smoke on the Water and stuff like Barkm at the moon. So how long do you think it takes?
Smoke on the water= 3 power chords. You can learn that in 2 minutes. That's really incredibly easy.
If you want to learn guitar songs really quick, try using tablature. Check out www.ultimate-guitar.com and look for a tab of the song you like.
A tab is basically showing you what positions to put your hand in by saying which number fret your hand should be in at a certain time instead of using musical notes.
