Guitar Courses Reviewed: Most Aren't Worth A Lick!

How long should it take me to play guitar REALLY well, like band worth well?

I have already been playing a little bit (I know three cords) I can pick things up pretty easily, so what do you think.

P.S. I'm starting off on acoustic guitar then I am moving up to electric, if that is relevent
Also could anyone post a link or something, to guitar lessons, step by step one please

It doesn't really matter if you're learning on an electric or acoustic, especially if you're just playing rhythm. It all depends on what kind of stuff you're trying to play, how much you practice, and what you do when you practice.

As long as you learn some power chords and practice switching them without looking at your hands, maybe three or four hours a day, you should be pretty good at that in six months or so. Then you're good to go on stuff like the Ramones, Green Day, etc.

When you practice, play along with metronome, doing the same chord progression over and over. Start slow, and concentrate on really syncing up the rhythm of your strumming and changes with the clicks. Timing is everything. As you get better, start speeding up the metronome.

If you're looking to get really good at playing more complicated stuff, it could take a long while, but don't think about that. Just get good enough to do the Ramones and then start a band. Keep practicing and you'll keep getting better, and then you can play the harder stuff when you're ready.
