How To Play Guitar Fast And Impress Your Family And Friends
Are you somewhat frustrated with your playing and cannot figure out better ways to learn how to play guitar fast? All guitar players at some point get stuck in this phase. They just aren’t satisfied and which they could incorporate some guitar techniques from such famous players like Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, or Yngwie Malmsteen.
There are many ways you could go at increasing your guitar speed. You could seek help from someone who has better technique than yourself, such as a guitar teacher. You could also use a metronome, which is one of my personal favorites, or use a fantastic resource for online guitar lessons.
Technique With A Metronome
Use your metronome and start out as slow as possible and very melodically play your lick or riff. Slowly increase the speed of your metronome by at least 2 bpm. During each attempt, play the lick for one minute solid with absolutely no mistakes. This can be easy at first, but gets much trickier as you increase the speed of the metronome.
If this has been completed, keep moving up on your bpm’s so your playing becomes slowly faster. This most likely will take several days or weeks, until you reach your desired speed, but speedy guitar playing does not happen overnight. It takes time, practice, and patience, and persistence.
