i got a guitar 4 x-mas and cant play i read a manual ad dont get it help
I ended up getting lessons in the end, which is a good idea sometimes just to learn a few techniques, and just to help find your way with playing stuff.
If you don’t want lessons, before I got them, I got a couple of really simple guitar books, they taught really basic stuff, little tunes and a few basic chords, nothing too difficult but it does give you a nice place to start.
But if you feel comfortable enough with the guitar then just hit some tab websites (my site of choice is www.ultimate-guitar.com) and find a song you like. Tabs are easy to read, and allow you to play songs pretty quick, which always gives you a bit more confidence…
