Ok so I dont want a degree(they're overrated as it is) I wanna go to a college near Pell City where I can just take guitar courses, and possibly get a piece of paper that says I completed the guitar course if anyone knows of a place where I can just take guitar courses and nothing else i'd be really happy dont say Jeffstate up here because they dont offer it already called.
Most college and university music departments offer guitar as a major. Whether they'd allow you to take lessons with them as a part-time non-major is uncertain, you'd have to ask them.
As an alternative, you can go to a college music department and ask them to refer you to a good private teacher, or you could put a note up on a bulleting board there and see if you can get a guitar major to teach you–they'll know the techniques, it's what they're studying. Neither of those routes will lead to an official transcript (which is all you'd get from taking the lessons for credit at the college) but they would get quality instruction, usually.
