I just asked a question, about 10 minutes ago, and people have given me a pretty good idea on what learning the guitar is like!
How much will guitar lessons, and the guitar cost me? The music schools are in the more expensive places in the town…so I'm worried about that, but if I am going to be dedicated enough, my parents will help pay.
If I am just starting off, what kind of guitar should I get? I really just wnat to play acoustic for now ^^
And will it be a better idea just to rent one in the beginning? thanks!
Get a cheap guitar first, so that you can determine if you wish to continue with it.
Then as you get better, you can start looking at the kind of tone you produce – depending on the styles you play. You start learning about the wood combinations and truss rod adjustment, bracing, projection, etc.
When the time comes, there are very good guitars everywhere – McPherson, Kronbauer, Collings, Larivee, Martin, Taylor, Rickenbacker.
