I do not know how to play guitar at all, but Free Bird is really special to me, so I was wondering how hard it is to learn this one song on the acoustic guitar (minus the end guitar solo of course) any helpful input would be great!
this is an intermediate level song. Not exactly a beginners first song. You must know how to correctly play several chords and how to quickly change between them not to mention the whole fingerpicked intro. It is possible to learn it after a few months of practice with the basic chords. If you have never played before I recommend taking lessons to get you started. Over 90% of all people who try to teach themselves end up quitting after a short time due to frustration and lack of direction. A good teacher can help you learn the correct way to play and keep you motivated too.
