with one caution the solos may be far up the neck… closer to the body and further… this may make them impossible to reach and even difficult and impossible as well but for the most part a lot of electic guitar songs around here seem to be written on an acoustic and embellished on electic guitar.
However… I have both….. I have an electic guitar that has a hollow body… Epiphone… it’s the Joe Pass guitar but for lead electric guitar even here some of the notes are impossible whereas on electic they are readily available and easy to reach.
To be fair to your question I have to be honest as well. Electic guitar songs need an electic guitar. and vice versa… so you better get both and sleep in.
