so yeah, i have a big blister on the tip of one my fingers from playing guitar. at first i was just going to puncture it with a sterilized needle and bandage it, so i could start playing again later. but i had someone tell me that if i just let it heal it would form a callus (which is a good thing for someone who plays guitar) is that true?
it is true. it’ll become a callus and it’ll help u playing. i’ve had many friends who’ve played for years, also my b/f, his fingers don’t hurt anymore bc he’s got callus on each finger. it’s not noticeable unless u look for it, so it’s not gonna look gross, but just keep using those fingers for playing.
i used to play bass myself, and i used my thumb a lot, it hurt so bad, but i wouldn’t stop, so i got a callus. but when i stopped playing, it went away.
