I want to start learning guitar, only thing is that I’m 18. Is this too old to pick up an instrument and learn? I feel like younger musicians would have much more a benefit to learning to play. I’m going to try some online courses as well as having my friend help me learn to play (he is extremely talented). Did anyone else start learning guitar at this age?
No way are you too old!! They say you learn things faster at a younger age but I’m not so sure about that. I think it really just depends on how much dedication and practice you put into it. I started at 16 and sucked. I quit playing but started again when I was 17 and sucked still for while but this time I didn’t get discouraged and the more I practiced the better I go. I’m 18 now and pretty good if I do say so myself. You’ll do fine!
