I plan on learning the electric guitar…but I have no musical background in the guitar..~~!!..so..do i have to learn it first?
I was in the same boat that you are in. I feel that learning on the acoustic is more beneficial because the sound is pure and you don’t have to worry about the amp or any of the guitar’s settings.
The general consensus is that electric guitars are more forgiving to beginners, but I definitely think that learning on an acoustic is better.
