I'm a 15 year old girl and I've really wanted to teach myself how to play the guitar for a long time now. I love music and its really something I've been wanting to do. The trouble is, I really don't know much about guitars..Does anyone know where I can find a cheap but decent first guitar that I can teach myself with. anything helps. thanks!
You need to stick to name brands. New or used, it doesn't really matter. The reason why is…..there are so much junk out there that's its almost impossible to tell what is a good cheap guitar.
Most major brands like…..Fender, Washburn, ect; makes great cheaper guitars, and generally sell for about 100.00 to 150.00.
I would go to MusiciansFriend.com to buy, you won't find a cheaper place! But, if that is out of your price range…. still go to the the website just to get familiar with good brands, so you will know a good deal, and guitar when you see one if buying used.
Also, I would ask some of the boy's at your school, because I'm sure most of them had asked for one for Christmas and it is in there room….collecting dust. Ask the rich kids first
