i can not tell the difference between the neck and bridge whene i flip the switch back and forth.i do not have a manual.and does anyone have a referral on a good replacement pickup that is a little hotter than the stock ones?
On virtually every guitar the switch is in the down position to access the bridge pickup. This is true for Gibson style 2 humbucker guitars as well as Fender style 3 pickup guitars. All the way up is the neck pickup.
To get more signal from the humbucker pickup you can raise it by adjusting the two side screws on the pickup mounting ring. A good height is 1/8 of an inch from the string.
If you want a great sounding replacement pickup then I would recommend the Seymour Duncan JB model for the bridge position
