Question by Lorem Ipsum: What does it mean to be able to play guitar?
I can play chords and dabble with scaled improvisation, I know where F# is and how to tune a guitar, been playing around for years.
But is memorizing a fancy guitar solo what it takes to say you,
“Oh, I can play guitar”?

I think being able to play guitar is being able to express yourself with the instrument. I think that’s pretty much what all music is. finding people who have created songs that represent you and your tastes.
