We have a wired Xbox 360 Stratocaster controller (the one that shipped with Rock Band 1) and I’m trying to figure out what putting batteries in it will do. I’ve tried putting some in but it doesn’t give the controller any wireless connectivity with the console. However, there must be some sort of radio in it as it has a label on the controller and in the manual stating that it complies with the FCC and blah blah blah. Can someone tell me what the purpose of installing batteries does?
The battery pack is there because they used the same shell as the PS3 guitars which were wireless.
It won’t do anything on a wired 360 controller.
