Over the course of the past year, I started gaining interest in playing the acoustic guitar. I do not have a guitar myself, however I have consistantly played my neighbors Breedlove Atlas AC25/SM Acoustic-Electric Guitar and love it. If I were to buy a guitar, what are some recommendations of high-quality acoustic-electric guitars with a price range between $400 and $800?

What will you use this for?
I like Gibson, Yamaha. Martin Backpacker?
Get a nice used Yamaha for $200 or so and replace it later?
