My dad wants me to buy a guitar, he even says he’ll pay for it on christmas. I am sorta interested in playing guitar, but I am in a band and my position is bass, even though I have no experience with one. So what do u think i should do, I can’t help but lean towards guitar.

If you have no experience with either, you should probably go with guitar. Guitar is much easier to play because improvising isn’t hard with the help of music theory. I have played with two bands, and I played both bass and guitar, and I would say that since started with guitar, it helped with bass. With bass you have to keep the beat, along with the drummer. If you mess up on guitar, people will think you are improvising, but on bass, they notice mistakes a lot more often. So all in all, you should probably get a guitar, and then build your way up to bass. I hope i could help =)
