What is the best way to keep your hands warm when playing guitar?

I have a problem with getting really cold hands so when I go to play my guitar, it is painful and it is difficult to move. Help!

gloves with the fingers cut off

warm them with a hair dryer once in a while
-or-
go someplace warmer
