Question by Jayde n: what was your first guitar and where did you get it?
My first was bought in 2005 when I was 18 …It was a 1960s Kawai electric and it worked! lol…I bought it for $ 5 at a yard sale in my neighborhood..It was so cheap I just had to buy it and learn guitar. I upgraded to a strat soon thereafter and then to an SG…but I still have my Kawai! What is your “first guitar” story?

My first guitar was a Gibson and I got it when I was 15. I took that guitar with me to Europe when I was 17 and got a high school graduation gift from my parents of $ 1000 and a one month YouthRail pass. I learned very quickly to do bussing with my guitar and played piano at night in bars, just for the tips. I stayed on in Europe for 3 years until my parents threatened to disown me if I didn’t come home and go to college.
If you want STORIES… by do I have STORIES… enough for an entire lifetime.!
