like people i know say they play guitar and all they can do is read tabs and play cool ramones songs.. but what does knowing how to play guitar actually require? learning chords and what else?
well, you gotta know your chords. and scales. i have been playing trumpet, which is an orchestral instrument, for 4 years, and im very good at writing and reading sheet music (notes)
but with guitar, i kinda freestyle play..i know the chords and stuff, but i stick with tabs. i just think i can put myself and my creativity and customization into my music more so like that..
